New here. Who are the wknd track warriors?
« on: December 31, 2011, 02:00:01 PM »
Update:  Thanks for all over your feedback. I chk\'d out the NASA website.  Hoping to go to an event in February or March.  Maybe some of us can caravan together?

Hi all,

I\'m approaching the point where my DD is ready to become a wknd track whore.  I\'m hoping to make friends with local wknd track drivers so I can learn more.  I recently gained solo credentials at my local track (Carolina Motorsports Park) so I\'m not a complete novice.   Thanks in advance for any advice/incite you might pass my way.  Looking forward to meeting up to talk shop, turn wrenches, or otherwise share in those fleeting terrifying moments of gasoline fueled glory followed by endless hours of repairs.

Thanks,
Jason

I am a dedicated track warrior.  I run mostly every month somewhere.  You get soloed with Turn One?

Yup. Turn One.  I solo\'d last spring and havn\'t been back since.  I\'m hoping to go back soon for another wknd, but the car hasn\'t been healthy lately.  Think I might have the problem identified.

Are there any car clubs/groups around here that setup track days for group discounts?

Welcome! Nice ride! We do change alignments specs for many weekend warriors here at Marc Yount\'s Tire-706-868-7770. Also we try and help those that race part time with mounts and dismounts on your wheels and tires-inquire within.

You run Summit but not Roebling?  It is a SCCA owned track.
