Effective Jan. 1, 2012, prices on all passenger and light truck/SUV tires sold by Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. will go up \"to a weighted average of 6%.\"

Yokohama Tire Corp. announced its second price increase of 2012, this one for its consumer tires sold in the U.S.

As of Mar. 1, prices on all of Yokohama’s passenger and light truck/SUV tires will increase by up to 8%. In-line adjustments will also be made, but at a later date, the tiremaker said.

As of Feb. 1, Yokohama jumped commercial tire prices by up to 8%. The new consumer tire increase follows a Nov. 1, 2011, increase of up to 8% on Yokohama passenger and light truck/SUV tires.
