Well i guess i am the unlucky one. First time the windows were tinted i got a lot of bubbles and was starting to peel at the corners. Just got them tinted again and its already starting to peel and the glass was actually cut, you can see the lines going around the glass where the tint was cut to fit actually deep enough to feel running your finger tips across the glass. on my rear quarter panel glass its deep  and actually an eye sore now.. Tried to show it to him to find out what i could do about it and was greated with hostility and pretty much denied anything and gave me a line about \"maybe if it was a 2012 m3 i could understand being upset about the scratches but its a 95 m3\".

Needless to say my tint job the second time around is shoddy and already starting to peel but i am not going to go back to the shop to get it fixed i will go somewhere else, going to have to get my glass replaced already talking to my insurance company..

Thats my experience anyways. My car may just be hard to tint, or the glass is softer than some cars. But regardless i am not happy with my experience.

Wow! Sorry to hear. And personally even if my car was a \'93 I\'d like my glass to be scratch free at pick up if it was dropped off scratch free.

yeah that\'s how i feel, but i wasn\'t going to argue with the guy as i don\'t like to be confrontational. I honestly probably wouldn\'t of even noticed for a while but i had a sticker on the car was all cut up with lines threw it so i then looked around on the windows and saw it. one of the windows is so bad that the only reason i hadn\'t noticed when i picked the car up was that my windows were covered in pollen as soon as i washed my car it was very obvious.

also tried telling me the cutters he uses stainless steel cutters and that its impossible that it happened and how he has been doing it for 22 years. as soon as i got home i simply googled the problem and this came up..
http://www.tintdude.com/forum/index.php/topic/24534-stainless-steel-cutting-glass/

Just felt like by saying i had a problem i was questioning his skill or ethics and was very hostile, i was just trying to give him an opportunity to fix the problem. Everyone makes mistakes.

I really don\'t know what i am going to do at this point, but i am going to find out what options i have threw my insurance company first, have some one coming out to give me a quote on all the glass.

UNREAL YOU SAID THAT. MY FRIEND TOOK HIS VERY NICE METRO TO DARK SIDE AND THEY DONE THE SAME THING-SCRATCHED THE WINDOW AND CUT THE RUBBER. MADE THE SAME COMMENT ABOUT IT BEING A ???METRO-LIKE THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT.

wow, both stories suck horribly. That\'s like a mechanic saying oh I replaced your brake pads w/some we had laying around because it\'s a metro!

We just had put $1200 worth of wheel and tires on it, he put about a $3k system in it and it is low mileage and still looks great. Yeah he went back and the guy gave him hell about him wanting him to replace the rubber that got cut so he just picked it up and put it on himself. What I find amazing about the stories is they both used the same car in their comparison like they wanted one or something.

that sucks, i think i have seen that metro around looks nice for what it is.

Gotten estimates ranging from  $2500 (taylor bmw) to $1530 at satellite glass. No way im paying for that out of pocket for their mistake. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and charge back threw mastercard for the  tint job.         Unsure at this point what my insurance company is going to cover or do. I may end up having to take the tint shop to small claims court. Will wait and see what develops  with the BBB complaint.

Seems like everywhere i have taken the car to for estimates immediately knew it was damage from a tint shop i guess its more common than i thought it was. They all asked what tint shop did it, so unfortunately his attitude towards me and the damage may hurt his business a lot more than just replacing the glass.
