I\'m guessing this was why you were at shooters the other night? I need to get me a new toy since I sold mine. Once this wedding is over I am investing my time into a new hobby.

naw, it was a monthly pistol match.  Shooting rifles at shooters is boring as hell.

So after 5 minutes of trying to answer my own question via google...

I\'m not familiar (or do not recall) with a manufacturer with that logo. Is it a bear? A Gorilla?

It\'s a LAR Grizzly lower.  They are one of the 4 or 5 true makers. Noveske is one of the many that rebrand these and add their brand tax.

Dang, the description just sounds like it commands a premium price tag.

I just ordered a set of Mega MA-TEN.

Upper is monolithic.

What kind of optics are you running?

And also, what range do you go to mainly? I go all the way out to Edgefield (Beaver Dam?) - but its only 100-125 yards.

Ran into Omar out there a few months back.

Ive been meaning to go up to Pine Tucky, I work with Steve\'s daughter. But I think all they got is a 100 yard range too.

Accupoint tr24 on my 3gun rig. The SBR has magpul BUIS until I can afford an aimpoint h1.. I have crappy red dots ill run on it for now.

Ft gordon for anything over 100. Locally.

I typically do not visit ranges that do not have trained ro\'s watching  my back for idiots.  Beaver Dam is an accident waiting to happen.

With pinetucky being members only during the week and on weekend it cost to shoot it keeps rift raft away.

Yea I heard about Gordon - maybe one day I\'ll find the time to go up on the days civilians are allowed.  Do you know the maximum distance they have out there? I\'ve heard conflicting answers ranging from 600 to 1000.

Yea Beaver Dam... ugh.  You should have seen the place after X-Mas - looked like a garbage dump. I actually made it a point to take a desk brush out with me when I go and clean up the pad (usually get there at 730am).  The overhang they build about a year ago is nice though (and still in one piece surprisingly).

I\'m currently looking at a Vortex PST 6.5-24 for my long range gun.  They are building a pretty god reputation for the $500 to $1,500+ range.

they have a lane that goes to about 1000yds.  If they arent busy they\'ll usually set you up.

also, The hours suck at gordon. The standard lanes are 600yd I believe.  My father in law worked for the wma for 10+ years so the guys up there have always been pretty cool with me. Call in advance if you want to shoot the really long lane.

Thanks for the heads up.  A bunch of red tape to just go shooting has always been a turn off.  :pinch:

Don\'t remind me - I\'m about to start the process on a new can for a .22

ATF is backlogged up to 6 months now on processing orders.
